General

1. What is Superterassi?

Superterassi is a unique, open-for-all summer terrace located at Kasarmitori in the heart of Helsinki. It brings together top restaurants, drink providers, and daily events. The area is free to enter and open to everyone.

2. Where is Superterassi and how do I get there?

Superterassi is at Kasarmitori, just a short walk from Helsinki Central Railway Station, Kauppatori, and Esplanadi.

You can easily reach the area by foot, bike, or public transport. The closest stops are Senaatintori and Fabianinkatu.

3. When is Superterassi open?

Superterassi is open from June 12 to August 13, 2026

Opening hours:

Mon–Sat 10 AM–11 PM (alcohol service ends at 10:30 PM and music at 10 PM)

Sun 11 AM–8 PM

Weather permitting. We live according to the Finnish summer weather, so on quiet rainy evenings we may close a little earlier.

4. Is there an entrance fee?

No. Entry to Superterassi is completely free of charge.

5. Is there an age limit?

No. Superterassi is an all-ages venue and welcomes everyone.

Sundays include family-friendly programming. Alcohol laws apply for sales.

6. Is the area accessible?

Yes. The area is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility and strollers. Accessible toilets are also available.

7. Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and under control.

8. Are there shaded or covered areas?

Yes. The area has tables with umbrellas and some sheltered seating.

9. What payment methods are accepted?

Only card and mobile payments are accepted. Cash is not accepted.

10. Can I smoke at Superterassi?

Smoking is allowed only in a smoking area. Smoking at tables or near restaurants is not allowed.

Food & drink

11. How many restaurants are there?

There are 17 different food and beverage vendors, offering a wide variety of tastes from Finland and around the world.

12. Are there gluten-free, vegan, or non-alcoholic options?

Yes. Many vendors offer gluten-free and vegan dishes, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails.

There is also a café by Eromanga bakery offering coffee.

Reservation & partnerships

13. Can I reserve a table in advance?

For groups of more than 8 people or for companies, we have opened a reservation system. You can find it here: https://www.superterassi.fi/en/group-reservations

14. Can my company book space or become a partner at Superterassi?

Yes. We offer a wide range of partnership opportunities for companies, brands, and event organizers.

15. What kind of events are there?

Superterassi offers daily entertainment and events.

Examples of weekly recurring programs include:
Every Monday at 10 AM and 2 PM: free and open fitness activities with Ole Fit
Every Tuesday: stand-up comedy nights
Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM: Pepsi MAX live concert Wednesdays featuring top artists
Every Thursday: community sing-along events
Every Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM: activities for children and young people
Every Sunday from 3 PM to 8 PM: Sunday vibes with DJ music and speed dating

Sauna & services

17. How can I book a sauna at Superterassi?

The Kyrö Sauna Bar is open Mon–Sat 12:00–20:00 and Sun 12:00–20:00.

18. Is there a cloakroom?

There is no cloakroom, but the area is open and supervised.

19. Can I come with children?

Absolutely. Superterassi is child-friendly, and Sundays we have Family Sunday programming for all ages.

20. Is there a water station?

There is no public water station, but bottled water is available from vendors.
